Nora Whitfield

Nora Whitfield founded Arcade Monthly in 2021 after eleven years as a reporter and features editor at regional newspapers and two national games magazines. She started out on a business desk, which is why she still reads studio earnings reports for fun and why Arcade Monthly's industry coverage leans on documents over rumours.

As editor-in-chief she sets the magazine's direction, edits every long feature and signs off the monthly issue. She wrote the Arcade Monthly editorial policy and is the final stop for any correction request.

Nora grew up above her uncle's bowling alley, where a sit-down Galaga cabinet taught her patience and pattern memory. She holds a journalism degree from the University of Oregon and still keeps a notebook of every game she finishes.
