How Many People Play Roblox in 2026?
How many people play Roblox? About 123M daily, per Roblox's Q2 2026 results. See monthly, peak and live counts.
How many people play Roblox? About 123 million play every day, according to Roblox’s Q2 2026 shareholder letter, published July 30, 2026. That’s the quarterly average for April to June,
and it’s 10% higher than a year earlier.
Roblox is a free platform from Roblox Corporation where players jump into millions of user-made games, which the company calls experiences. It runs on PC, mobile, Xbox and
PlayStation.
Two catches. The 123 million is down from a peak of about 152 million in Q3 2025, and Roblox counts accounts, not unique people.
Below, each number gets explained, along with the ones you shouldn’t trust.
Everything here reflects Roblox’s results through Q2 2026, the latest it had published as of October 8, 2026.
How many people play Roblox every day?
Roblox averaged 123 million daily active users (DAUs) in Q2 2026, up 10% from Q2 2025, according to its July 30, 2026 results.
A DAU is an account that logged in and visited Roblox on a given day.
Roblox reports DAUs as a quarterly average, so one viral weekend doesn’t inflate the figure.
Here’s the trend since mid-2024, using the numbers Roblox reported (as charted by Statista).

Roblox reinstated in Russia in June |
Q3 2025 was the record quarter, and it overlapped with the summer 2025 boom for Grow a Garden and Steal a Brainrot.
Why have Roblox’s player numbers dropped since 2025?
Roblox’s daily players have fallen for three straight quarters, from about 152 million in Q3 2025 to 123 million in Q2 2026, as Music Ally noted after the July 30 results.
That’s roughly 19% below the peak.
Roblox’s shareholder letters point to a few causes. In Q1 2026 it said its age-check rollout, which limited chat for users who hadn’t verified their age, slowed new user sign-ups.
The Q2 letter adds two more.
Engagement shifted away from 2025’s viral hits, and Roblox was blocked in Russia for most of the quarter before being reinstated in June.
Roblox expects daily users to rise again in Q3 2026, helped by seasonality and Russia’s return. That’s the company’s forecast, not a result.
How many people play Roblox every month?
Roblox doesn’t give a monthly active user (MAU) figure in its Q2 2026 letter, so there’s no Roblox-confirmed monthly number to quote. It does report 27 million average monthly unique payers, up 15% year over year.
Plenty of sites repeat about 380 million monthly players. DemandSage lists 381.8 million but sources it to activeplayer.io and Icon Era, not a Roblox filing. Treat it as an estimate.
The estimates also disagree with each other. Udonis, using AppMagic app-tracker data, shows about 252 million for June 2025, and says 100 million in another spot on the same page. Same platform, wildly different answers.
How many people are playing Roblox right now?
Roughly 7 million to 16 million people are on Roblox at the same time in a typical week, based on a June 2026 snapshot from the tracker RoWatcher. At that snapshot, about 10.8 million were online.
RoWatcher adds up public player counts across about 8.5 million games it can find, so it calls its total a floor, not an official Roblox number. Weekend evenings are the busiest time.
Be wary of bigger claims. One page I checked says around 70 million players are likely online at any moment. That would be well above Roblox’s all-time record, covered next.
What is the most players Roblox has had at once?
Roblox hit about 47.4 million concurrent players on August 23, 2025, according to Tubefilter’s report two days later.
That topped Steam’s all-time peak, which sources put at roughly 40 to 41 million.
The spike came from a weekend rivalry event between Grow a Garden and Steal a Brainrot, which each passed 20 million players. The figure came from internal Roblox data shared on
LinkedIn, per Notebookcheck, not from a shareholder letter.
As of October 8, 2026, I found no report of a higher platform-wide figure.
Why do Roblox player counts differ so much between websites?
Sites quote different Roblox numbers because they measure different things: daily accounts, paying accounts, people online at once, or third-party estimates. This table separates them.

Even Roblox’s DAU isn’t a headcount. Its FY2025 annual report says DAUs measure account activity, so one person using several accounts in a day can be counted more than once.
The same report warns that bots create fake accounts to make some games look more popular than they are.
Roblox says it works to detect and limit them.
Freshness is another problem. Several top-ranking pages still say Roblox has over 150 million daily players. That was true for one quarter, Q3 2025, and it’s been lower in each quarter since.
Who plays Roblox? Age and region
Among users who have age-checked, 35% are under 13, 38% are 13 to 17 and 27% are 18 or older, per Roblox’s Q2 2026 results. Only 57% of daily users had completed an age check by
the end of the quarter.
Roblox says age-checked figures aren’t directly comparable to its older self-reported age data, and some numbers extrapolate from checked users. Read the split as a solid estimate, not a headcount.
Growth is coming from outside North America. Daily users in Japan rose 67% and in India 64% year over year in Q2 2026, while the U.S. and Canada grew 6%.
What to watch for in Roblox’s next player numbers
Roblox’s next numbers are its Q3 2026 results, expected in late October 2026. I couldn’t find a date confirmed by Roblox, and trackers list October 23 or October 29.
Compare any new figure with two numbers: 123 million (Q2 2026) and about 152 million (Q3 2025). A result above 123 million would match Roblox’s forecast of a sequential rise.
But any Q3 figure below about 152 million will still show as a year-over-year drop, even if it’s up from Q2. Expect headlines to blur those two comparisons.
